Ictp issues my17 latest fix

I’ve been having problems with my ictp system since new, car now nearly 4 months old, been promised a fix every 2 weeks since Christmas but ever time it’s came round to taking the car in it’s been cancelled at the last minute. I’m now discussing rejection with my supplying dealer. The head of business has been onto me today about this & tells me there is now a fix out for my cars issues. Has anyone else had the latest software fix done on a my17 & has it cured all your problems? Mine are around auto side steps, reverse camera not coming on, main screen & radio not coming on, WiFi hotspot not working, traffic updates not working.

We are happy with the car appart from these issues which could not be fixed last week according to my dealer, here’s hoping this miricle fix will sort them all out, if not it will be rejection I’m afraid.

Ditto. Picked mine up 3/12 and have had issues similar to yourself. They’ve had one go (in for 3 days) and it’s now going in on Thursday to see if they can fix. Great car but very annoying faults.

Yes I had the previous ict system in my last one, a bit slow but worked fine, if they can’t sort mine I’m rejecting it as I’m not paying the money these are new for something that’s not 100% as sold. I may wait for a hybrid or just go back to an old tech 66plate that works as it should. My worry is if I keep what I have and the residuals drop below the gfv at 3 years old and I hand it back, if the ictp systems not right they will charge me for the repairs as soon as it’s out of warranty.

jeez like, you would think they would have had these issues sorted out already...

you also have to wonder why they didn't go with an open platform like Android, instead of trying to re-invent the wheel by developing their own solution.

was the ICTP on the 2014-2016 models, or only from 2017 onwards? --

Ictp is on the my17 year cars with the wider 10” screen. The ict system on the older cars had the smaller screen & was a bit slower at reacting when you pressed buttons, however it was more robust in my experience than this system.

MY17 here and no fix as of last week when I checked.

It had a software update about a month ago and it didn't fix any issues.

I think this is very much hit and miss with the car itself not the software there are lots of people with MY17 with no issues so I don't think the affected people will ever get it sorted out as its not a simple software update is a more complex problem.

Sad thing is I expect its the same on the MY18 cars aswell Sad

Thanks for letting me know, they will get one chance for the next week to sort it out as I will be rejecting the car if it’s not 100% when I collect it, disappointed it’s came to this as we really like the car however I’m sick of all the messing around trying to get it just to work as it should!

Just had “update part 3” and all seems well (two days in) so far. Tabs on screen seem to respond faster and name of tracks is keeping up with music. In control apps staying connected but still have ‘to allow ‘ on start up each time despite having both set to access on connection. Still got numbers instead of names for incoming calls but I’m assured that’s a phone thing🤔. Going to have a play today🙄 and seeBoots up almost instantly, previously I could be half way to work😢 Time will tell but at present I’m a happy bunny

Blue anchor inn that sounds positive! I had a brief update on mine yesterday, they have found a fault in the wiring harness that goes to the card reader so are now replacing that aswell. I now feel a bit more confident we will get it back repaired, fingers crossed!

It must be different car to car. No problems with my 2017 V8SC ictp so far.

Having a late summer early autumn break down in the south west of Oz. 600 miles, much of it towing a jet ski on trailer at around 110km/h. Brim to brim 25.4 mpg. Plenty of boat ramp duty and even some beach duty when we find a deserted swimming area. The RRS is the consummate all rounder and the SCV8 is just an overpowered

Dealer has confirmed that the car has been repaired and they have checked everything daily since Tuesday with no glitches so I’m collecting it tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Well I got home ok, they also re-programmed my TPMS as there was a fault and it wasn't working.

Just been out to have a meal and soon as I left home my TPMS fault returned, it lasted 4 miles. Rolling Eyes
