Thieves? And how to stop them

Hey guys just a quick one, so the next door neighbour has just knocked on my door to let me know the night before last, there was a shady looking young lad giving my car the once over and in his garden, by the time he had got up the scum bag had ran off. Anyway I was at work last night so wasn't at home but I'm back tonight. And I need to know how easy they are to break into? Has anyone else been through the same? I know if someone wants something bad enough they will get it, but all this fiasco I've heard with keys being cloned whilst your asleep and so on. My car doesn't have keyless entry but still would like to know, what's the best thing I can do tonight for the time being til I can get a disklock or something. It's already on my mind now if the rat comes back tonight I won't get a wink of sleep, already got my shoes ready at the door along with a baton

Any help will be much appreciated and hopefully put my mind at ease :/

Cheers

Do a search on here and Disco3 for the fix to disconnect the alarm sounder. This is quite quiet and removal means the car uses the normal horn which is much louder. It's been suggested this is a better set up. You might also want to make sure the horn wiring isn't accessible from the front grille.

A disklok type device is a nice visible deterrent if you don't use the vehicle every day. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I stayed down in Kent last night and there was a local news item on a series breakins to BMWs where the steering wheel was stolen! Wtf?

I wouldn't use my gun to stop someone stealing a car. It's just a f'ing car, for Pete's sake! It's why we have insurance... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Years ago when I was a mad keen windsurfer there was a guy who sailed from the same beach and his crew cab pickup had a sticker on the windows that stated that the car was protected by a Cobra system......... the rest of us always wondered why he parked it with the engine running while he was off sailing and on most days the cab windows are misted up........... we asked if he was hoping to have his truck stolen but the answer was really quite frightening “Oh no I have an 8ft long mature boa constrictor that I leave in the car which is why it is so warm and misted up, nobody in their right mind would even get into the car if they knew what was sleeping under the rear passenger seat!” 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I think using America is a poor example considering what has happened yesterday. I'm all for teaching skallys a lesson but guns in the hands of joe public isn't right
