Another suspension issue. (fixed)

Driving along and red light on dash with bong

Suspension seems to drop and go all bouncy

These messages come up

Ignore the engine light it's just the lpg

Pull over, turn off, turn on, all god for another 50 odd miles

4 times over this weekend

Anyone?

Need the codes reading really mate otherwise you'd just be guessing.

How's your car pass the MOT with the EML light on constantly? Thought that was an instant fail?

Means your LPG installer did a lot of shortcuts bypassing the O2 sensors. Regards etc.,

It's nothing to do with the 02 sensors it's high inlet pressure

You need to get it read with a different code reader as if you put that into google it comes up with different versions and none are to do with land rover suspension as it should have a letter in front as the rest i have seen Thumbs Up

Ok
Slightly different today in as much as I had no where to pull over when it happened so I just slowed right down.
Maybe 30 seconds of rock hard suspension and lights on dash and all lights went off and ride went back to normal

Ok so I fixed her, after even the Indy had no clue

It's actually my fault but an explanation may help someone to not run up a garage bill

I remember my right rear ride height sitting a bit low so used by obd dongle thingy to lift it, I've done this a few times.

Anyway, I now see it's a piece of uneven ground I park on regularly that pushes up the right rear!!

Basically my constant height alteration on one wheel took the suspension out of tolerance and gave me all the faults

Reset to factory, reset to my saved heights, and all fixed

Lesson learned by an airbag newbie with access to a modification toy 😇

Random faults

Hi all interesting read this as I have the exact same problem and it so intermittent here is what I have checked so far (RRS 2006 Supercharged)

Tyres for pressure all seem ok except front left has a slow leak from the valve! but take quite a few days to escape (this might be the issue but it has only just started to cause the suspension issue)

Up and down motion of suspension full range as normal

Charged the battery fully last night but still got a message in amber flash up then go away for the stability control

It was hot today and she is black so I thought maybe it was the heat as it has only happened when its been warm like this! it was only a short journey too

The other day I went on a 20 mile trip mainly motorway and then some b roads and that when I got the error in red however the suspension stayed up and would rise and fall on demand but felt a bit woolly as if the stability has stopped (it the SC version with the DSC) and pulled over did a reboot and seemed ok until a bit further down the road red light on.

Then it sat for a couple of hours and then the drive home was ok with no errors go figure!

Got the error this afternoon flash up but then it went away again so I'm stumped

but it interesting you say it could be related to uneven ground as I do now park in a part of a car park that is at an angle (no one else will park there cos it too difficult apparently to park in!) but it means the left hand side and in particular the left nearside rear is higher than the others. How would I go about resetting all the suspension stops without the brittool gadge! My guess is a disconnect the batt and wait then reconnect?

I have noticed a damp patch on the nearside left of the engine mount that ive not noticed but before but all the fluids are as they were at the service just before Crimbo and Ive been out of the country for a month and only do about 10 miles a day if that (yeah I should walk!)

I don't think it the compressor and if there is a slight leak on the front then I would expect it to be a constant warning so maybe it is the uneven ground! as I do drop the suspension into access mode when I park as everyone moans its difficult to get into (well mainly the other half!)

Cheers in advance guys!

Paul

These cars have pretty big shields underneath, so you may want to remove it and see where the oil is actually coming from. The ACE/DRS system has it's own fluid reservoir that is on the lower left of the engine bay by the off-side headlight, check the levels and make sure there's plenty in there.
With all that being said you need to get the codes read as there are a lot of components that effect the smooth operation on the ACE system and the suspension.
