New Zealand 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black

As there are currently no DRL controllers on the market that have these features I'm creating a simple circuit to modify an existing controller to achieve my goal.

Phillips used to do a DRL kit which included a controller which dipped the DRL's to I think 50% when the headlights were switched, sure the kit was called something like Daylight 5 or 8 something like that as I did fit one, probably be expensive way to get just a controller though.

Cheers

I've got a controller that dips the DRL's when the headlights are on, but it doesn't have an additional sensor wire that taps into the indicator.
It'll all make far more sense once I have them fitted and upload a video haha

First prototype made, it’s more a proof of concept than anything. I’ll create another refining the board layout before I fit it in the vehicle.
But other than the appearece it works a treat, gives around 1.5/2 second delay before raising the LEDs to full power after the power has been cut from the sensor wire. I may make a few and sell on if people are interested, installation is pretty straight forward. The two blue wires go one each to the headlight and indicator, the black is an earth and finally the brown (which will be changed to yellow) goes to the sensor wire in the DRL controller.

I’m waiting on some more components arriving so I can make a more tidy job, but I’ve managed to integrate both the DRL controller and my home brew circuit into a single enclosure. If I do say so myself I think it looks pretty tidy, you’ll see that the wiring isn’t finished, but I’ll put up another image in a few days or so once I’ve completed the revisions.

And a picture of the final product..

Currently waiting for a spare minute and I’ll then fit them.
