I play my music in the car through Spotify on a iPhone 7 which works fine if played across Bluetooth but if I pug the phone in to the iPod socket in the armrest with the genuine iPhone charge lead it plays music from my iTunes app.
If you go in to Spotify it plays but displays the artist and track of the iTunes list and not what's coming out the speakers.

Anyone else had this problem? Is this down to needing a specific lead or do I have a fault ?

If you go in to the phone and shut all apps it still plays tracks from iTunes and you have to open Spotify but screen shows the iTunes track it was playing even with iTunes closed. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior
