My 2011 3litre diesel smokes

Occasionally ( maybe every other week) it throws out loads of diesel smoke. I mean loads, if you keep your foot buried its worrying. The engine pulls clean, doesn't use engine oil, & has done just 52k miles. It's been suggested it's the particulate filter regenerating but I've never noticed another one doing this. After smoking it runs clean again for maybe 2 weeks. I've had this car 3 years & prior a TDV8.

My 2012 does the same and there is a Land Rover Technical Bulletin that suggest a mod to the crankcase breather on certain vehicles with VIN’s between AA212145-DA814376 years 2010 - 2012.

Technical Bulletin LTB00487v6 3.0 TDV6 Excessive Exhaust Smoke.

Mine is in for mods tomorrow.

Had this mod done in the week, and the results are immediate as no more smoke under heavy acceleration.
