Turbo Chip Any News from members/TC?

It's been a while since anyone has posted info on how their TurboChip upgrade is performing.
A couple of members including myself are considering this upgrade but it's gone a little quiet even TC not making his usual appearances??

References and questions are being asked elsewhere on this forum regarding the Turbo chip,
King-Chipper-Sawdust recently asked
'has anyone had any serious problems with this upgrade and how come if it is so good why don't LR fit as standard?'
It received no response but that was posted in the Dealership Feedback heading hence fresh thread started here.

Thanks to m@verick for your previous response.

I wonder if Tc would offer a further discount for the ecu upgrade and the filter at the same time?

TC, hello there.
As October has almost gone is there any chance of extending the offer through November?, I was reading these posts waiting for info before placing the order you see.
And throw in a filter, thanks that'd be great or is that just Tina? tdv6se owner since end of sept 05

Replacement air filters usually increase airflow over the OEM product and therefore lead to the engine "breathing" more deeply. This in turn leads to small increases in power and torque output. There's probably more to it - but I think that's it in a nutshell. You can also normally reuse replacement filters too - which makes them a better long term investment.

There is definately a slight increase in bhp with a 'performance' air filter but I personally think the greatest advantage is that they keep optimum air flow even when 'dirty' unlike a standard paper one that clogs up and causes a reduction in power output Chips with everything

Regarding alternative air filters, like "K&N".

Here are some "real" air filter test results, including K&N: http://home.usadatanet.net/%7Ejbplock/ISO5011/SPICER.htm Fans of placebo marketing shouldn't read this. Wink

Personally, if I didn't see much dirt/dust... I might use K&N air filters just from the "recycle" point of view. Other than that, paper is it for me. I've used K&N filters on street cars without any issue. On RRS/D3, I won't be using them.
