Nav DVD drive knackered

Hi guys,

I recently purchased an 05 RRS. That Nav was non functioning, with disk missing message. No great shakes, I will buy another (updated) disk. However, the drive itself under the passenger seat, doesnt seem to want to accept any disk. As soon as the disk is partially in, the drive automatically spits it out.

I'm thinking that the unit itself has had it, hence why the disk was missing in the first place.

I can get a refurbed drive off ebay, but is it a straight swap, or will the new drive need to be programmed/paired with the screen?

Get one of those non-slip mats to use in front of the NAV and use your phone and tilt the phone sideways Thumbs Up

Something else that has crossed my mind regarding the discs - remember that there are two Sat Nav systems for prefacelift RRS, so you must make sure you get the right disc for your model year, I think the systems changed in 2007 or 2008 - the later system was HD Nav IIRC. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
