Can anybody actually share what they have done and the detail of exactly how to improve the sound of the MY18 SVR?

Urban do the mod, they say they have done around x70 MY 2018 / 19 already! Speak to Lenny. I’m meeting Gaz on Friday to hear his after Powerflow Leek removed his silencer and added straight pipes.

To disconnect the valves, all you need to do is remove the left trim panel inside the boot and disconnect the active exhaust module (C4E181 on the image). Make sure you do this when the valves are already open.
But on my 2019 svr I found that it did not make a huge difference.
I personally did not bother with removing the middle silencer (which is what urban does I think?) as I'd like to avoid cutting the OEM exhaust.

I have heard the disconnection hardly makes a difference.

I think Urban remove the mufflers not the centre resonator.

Here’s the latest - I’m booked in at the dealership tomorrow afternoon to have valves unplugged, FOC.

Thursday, next week I’m booked in at Urban for their exhaust mod.

I also have a loud McLaren as my other / main car but for me it’s about having nice sounding cars across the fleet Wink

My wife has a new Macan GTS - it’s considerably louder than my SVR - how???

Urban basically straight pipe the exhaust, the current SVR is a pitiful thing, we recently put a titanium quicksilver exhaust on a customers car with bluetooth valve control, my god is was loud and sounded epic! Current

So Urban remove the Mufflers not the Resonator? Straight piping would mean removing both - which I’m pretty sure they don’t do.

I had the valves unplugged yesterday and it is a great mod - adds around 25% more volume and considerably louder on start up as well but still not like the old SVR Sad

I’ve heard mixed reviews about The Quicksilver build quality and that their exhausts do drone.

I would love to hear from someone that has had the Urban mod.

I had an Urban SVR, sounded great, also no issues with the quicksilver exhaust as its valve controllable, = no drone. Current

Great, so glad you replied. No drone on the Urban exhaust mod then?

Was it a new shape SVR?

Urban don’t mod the exhaust as standard, are you sure you had the exhaust mod?

I have heard the Quicksilver drones when valves are open.

You have had some serious cars!

Hello!

Could you please provide more info about the image you provided?
What is the module P10044, what wires are used to connect it with C4E181 module and probably other modules (I believe it should be connected to ECM)?
Probably you can provide some extra images?

I am going to install SVR active exhaust into 5.0 Supercharged and your information will be very helpful for me.

Many thanks in advance!
