First SVR Warranty Fault

First warranty fault on my SVR: the rubber tether keeping the petrol filler cap attached to the car has failed!

I assume it’s user installable, so will email the dealer to get a replacement... Mark

No, nearly 3 years old, and it’s the first thing to go “wrong”.

The car has otherwise been perfect in every way and I get a great deal of pleasure driving it. Mark

Obviously gets too much use being the SVR, us SDV6 owners will get at least another 5 years worth of use out of ours before we might see problems Rolling with laughter
That’s if the crank ain’t snapped before then Big Cry 2015 HSE SDV6 Scotia Grey, ebony / lunar, colour coded, deployable steps, TV, sliding pano and a few other bits. Now gone

It’s just the sharp owners.

You need to remember that one only tends to hear of problems.

Don’t over think it. There’s good and bad across the Sport model and brand come
To think of it .

I don’t believe that Svrs are any better or worse than the rest of the sport Range.

Mine has just turned 4K and no faults as yet . Not wishing to tempt fate obviously Thumbs Up 2019 Svr and 2019 R35 GTR

Mine’s nearly 40k. Very Happy

Love every minute. Still the same smile every time I drive it as I had the first time I drove Dave W’s blueprint Car.

I'd be over the moon if this rubber failure was the only issue I'd had. having said that I don't know how long you've had the car. And to be fair - my beast has been pretty solid recently. Only issues have been my own doing (ish) - cracked windscreen and kerbed wheel Sad SVR with a few bits from Urban and Glohh

Needless to say, the dealer has been completely useless. No response at all. There will be a huge to-do if they try to wriggle out when I present the car for service after the warranty has run out. Mark
