Heated windscreen - one side dead, fuses and relay ok...

Happy New Year all...

My passenger side heated windscreen on my 2006 RRS seems dead and I've checked the fuse(s) and relay which are all ok.

Is there any way/guide/video for how to get to the connectors in the bottom corner of the passenger side without removing the whole windscreen so I can check power is being delivered and/or if the connections are loose - I did have the windscreen replaced back in April '17, but it's only been the recent cold spell that has shown this up, so it might have been dead since then... Embarassed

Thanks in advance Smile

'tang.

I had exactly the same on my L494 RRS last spring. It required a new windscreen which was done under warranty - I also had a chip on the driver’s side (which was working fine despite the chip) so that also got fixed for free Embarassed 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I think you need to remove the interior trim panel inside.

It's 1 torx bolt, behind the cover at the top and then it comes out easily.

There appear to be 2 black TABs to connect power to the screen. (looks like insulation tape)
and they connect to spade terminals and thick wires

BE CAREFUL !
