L494 SC Fuel Economy

It’s Summer holiday time here for me and Mrs BKHK and the new SC just done it’s first 250 mile journey, now up to 600 miles. Normal economy is 18 mpg around town but when refuelling on arrival at destination yesterday, I was staggered to see 30.9 mpg for the journey which was mostly at 110-120 km/h.

Its overpowered of course which helps with economy, overtaking is a hoot and effortless. Have seen some comments on here about seat comfort in some posts. The seats are harder than L320 but even with Mrs’ new hip and my sometimes bad back, we both had no issues after 3.5 hours in the car.

I miss the fun of the M3 but the SC’s brief is to replace it and the old RRS in one vehicle. Looks like it might just do it.

If you are going by the computer then you can knock 5 mpg off that,,every RRS I’ve had read 5 mpg more on comp than they do on actual fill up.

Hi Tyrefitter

No, it was brim to brim, filling up at BP servo near home and filling up in destination town to give me runaround fuel.

Hi Tim in Scotland

I will take a look at Fuelly.com although my post was for interest really, I don't really mind how much fuel I use.
