Just had an email from my dealer confirming a build date for my SVR.

Build starts 28/01 and then to SVO for their magic dust and delivery expected mid March

Hi

I received this this morning after chasing them. Don't know what to believe...

"Your order #L-100000xxx has been updated to: Processing
Good Morning,

I have checked your order with Land Rover, your vehicle has completed build but is currently on hold at quality check, with an estimated date of delivery to us of 26/01/18 but this date is subject to change. I do believe there has been issues with some of the Range Rover sports failing the quality check and being returned to factory. I have not yet received an update regarding your order other than that is in hold. As soon as I have an update I will come back to you.

Must have been a high ramp, because virtually all the back end was replaced RRS SVR 2018

I know, but if I don't laugh about it I could get quite mad at the fact they tried to flog me a repaired vehicle as 'Brand New' and even insisted that they did not damage it !

spoke to the dealer again today, still on for early January pick up, he doesn't know of any QC issue with my car.........

SVR575 I hope so! Mrs Chunk is all smug just now as she got her MY18 Evoque before my sport when the dealer originally thought it would be the other way round.

I have specced the activity key, hope it works!!

Many thanks for all your all feedback and comments.

I’ve just heard from my dealer that my RRS 2018 will land with the dealer 5th January so looks like RR were holding back new models to sell off 2017 stock on forecourts. The car was built early December.

Fingers crossed I should have my vehicle on the road mid-January as have a shed load of dealer-fit extras to be bolted on.
