New owner - question about controlling iPhone music

Hi

I have just taken delivery of my first RR-S, my first JLR vehicle, a new MY17 HSE in Santorini Black from Guy Salmon in Stockport. Had it a few days, and have to say its very impressive. The 306 engine is so smooth, and I just love the interior.

Anyways, I have a question if I may.

I have connected my iPhone 8 to the car via Bluetooth, and can play music no problem, however, I cannot find a way of accessing the root menu using the cars controls, i.e. if I am playing an album, I cannot find a way of going up 'one level' to view my other albums/artists on the iPhone. I can of course change via the iPhone, but that kind of defeats the object.

I have looked at the manual, and cannot see any instructions. We have an MY16 Audi TT S-Line, and I can use the Audi MMI to access the root menu, and scroll through Artists, Albums, Songs etc, I am struggling to believe the RR-S system will not do this?

I know its not a 'biggie' but any help much appreciated

Cheers

M

Over Bluetooth you only have very limited control of the music on your phone.

Connecting the phone to incontrol via the apps works an absolute treat though and then you can control it all via the main screen!

That's what I do on mine anyway, using Spotify FYI Now
