Suspention squeek

Hi there,

as mentioned before, I just got my 2005 produced RRS. Its a first edition, and I it seems to be a great car. One thing that is a bit nerve wrecking is a heavy squeek, I guess of the air suspention, while going slow in "off road" terrain.

Is this something known? What can I do? Is there some regular maintenace for the air susption? The car was at official service early december just 2 kkm ago.

Regards and thanks,
Tomi

tomi - can often be the rear suspension joints that are in the rear knuckle that squeak (water can get in them and wash all the grease out). Worth a look if you ever take the wheel off - it is difficult to see them otherwise. The way I have found to check is to open the tailgate and jump up and down on the rear of the boot floor. If the suspension squeaks, then it is probably these. ===============================

Especially if you jump up and down in the rear loadspace. Confused

I'd poke you in the eye with a sharp stick if you did that in my Sport. Shocked Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

had my suspension bushes replaced at the front due to an inferior bushing used in early production models.

Do a search for "bed springs" (no joke) and read that thread. L319 D4 HSE
