Do you get a warning on the speedo message area just after starting from cold (say after leaving it overnight)? I do and I believe this is a symptom of low battery. My battery is only 18 months old but in winter I do get the EPB failure message briefly. Once started and taken for a run I get no more problems until the next cold night. But the EPB seems to be working just fine.

So this might be an early sign of the battery getting tired. If you’ve got a trickle charger, I suggest giving it a good charge and if you do not get the fault message after that, it would indicate a minor battery issue

Actually thinking about it, my message sometimes says something about auto realease of EPB not available but I’ve left the rest of the text above in case it’s of any use.c Robin
