my car glass

Decided to ask a company called My Car Glass.com for a quote for a new front heated windscreen they came back to me with a price of £355 fitted. seems like a really good price to me. Has anyone used this company before or heard anything about them ?

Why can`t you claim on insurance and just pay the excess? Steve.

Because it affects your premiums for the next year

When I had mine replaced it didn't put the actual premium up, but it increased the Windscreen Excess the following year that was with LV. I did insist and got a genuine L/R screen not some cheap import screen. Thumbs Up

Cheers

Even if it did put up your base premium, is the increase more than the difference between your windscreen excess and the cost of the screen? If not, you would be better off claiming for it.

£355 seems a bit low even for an OEM screen. You might be getting non-Pilkington glass for that price. Be worth checking if these things matter to you (they do to me and many others). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I had screen and side window in my D2 and never altered my excess or premiums the following year.
