South Africa 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Siberian Silver

it is a well-documented issue on the T/SDV6, more on the D3/D4 than on the RRS.

Wales 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Java Black

Someone told me once rightly or wrongly that the V6 is just a V8 with 2 cylinders chopped off as at the time they did not want the cost of redesigning the engine completely and that is why there are the problems there are dont know if its right Thumbs Up

Spain

I have a 2011 3litre TDV6 with a proper gear lever and a 6 speed box plus a 2 piece tailgate.
The SDV6 launched in 2011 lost the gear lever and gained a rotary control and an 8 speed box, plus lost the 2piece tailgate.
Power wise on paper the SDV6 has a tad more Whistle In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Mine is a 62 plate and if you reg check it then it comes up SDv6. I was told they changed to sdv6 when they upgraded to the 8 speed box and power is 252 bhp.

What sort of reg check can you do which shows that up bud?

Might run one on this particular car.

If you have the VIN number of said vehicle, you can go to LR TOPIx site and then not only will you get type of engine, gearbox, trim etc, it also gives a complete build sheet of everything fitted to car as standard or extra options, very useful for checking what car you are looking at when purchasing, and will give a true list of options fitted etc, rather than pre filled forms for model spec, which are often listed incorrectly by sellers and dealerships. John

No problem, glad to help.
For cars first registered after 2013 you can register and get a record of services, repairs etc carried out/on to your vehicle, although lately it has been found that some dealerships haven't been doing it properly, even though it is a condition of 53465697014franchise that it must be done. If yours isn't, get them to enter all the information, as it's on their and LR computer systems.
With current system, if it's not entered and as no Service Book issued, it is more difficult to get correct price on trade ins and resale due to this info being missing, always advise you to keep all documents/history for your car, if not already done. John
