They ought to put 10% of the effort spent on this into looking after the customer base instead .... Censored 's

And how many plates are we talking about? Probably less than 100.

The way large companies sue and try and claim things makes me sick. I remeber the phone company orange wanted to copyriht the colour orange so that no one could use it. Stellios of Easy Jet had a few things to say about that! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

No, it said "Range Rover Sport" if I remember... LR have obviously got the hump over use of the name... Rolling Eyes

Using the excuse that Rob is infringing their trade mark - I wouldn't mind betting that this is Ford's lawyers in USA that are stirring the sh*t over such a tiny thing.
As VA says how many sales of scuff plates have LR lost compared to the number of RRS's they have sold world wide. I'm sure they could spend their time and money more fruitfully by dealing with customer queries and complaints - On October 10th I asked LR Customer Services to send me details of the G4 pack for the RRS.............................. glad I didn't hold my breath as I'm still waiting 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Wouldn't it be great if LR spent as much time FIXING faults and KEEPING THERE WEB UP TO DATE as they spend on advertising and moaning at people for stupid Censored like this! Twisted Evil

FFS LR grow up - or pay the bloke for his idea and buy the rights from him for his sills if you like 'em so much

Think of this - There must be some little sh*te in LR or Ford who is PAID to do nothing all day except surf the net reading forum posts, looking for anything that might remotely infringe a brand name or trade mark and then tell tales back to HO! Must have had some good laughs reading this forum's posts and those on D3!

Would it not be better public relations for LR/Ford to go to Tasmod and say, hey mate, what's wrong with the design of the sill plates we sell............... want to supply us with some for evaluation............................... but no they wade in with all guns blazing trying to frighten folks 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Rob - I don't see why it would not be possible to agree with LR on a symbolic royalty agreement whereupon for each set of sill plates you sell, you will contribute X amount to such and such a charity in LR's name. Further conditions could be agreed on restricting your distribution (and possibly volume) to existing channels (i.e. eBay). You would agree to add the ® symbol to the Range Rover Sport engraving and acknowledge that these are produced "under licence" .

Surely a middle ground can be found. Failing that....I'd still have bought them even if they just said "sport" Very Happy 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge

How can I now get a set of Tasmods for my new RRS?
Are they also still sold via Car Styling Studio?

Regards
John
