Cleaned it today. 3.5 hours. It`s been an unloved car. I was using the clay cloth and it sounded like sand paper...all over. Tar spots were epic ones haha (maybe get some mudflaps)...took over half a litre of Tardis to banish them.

Spotted quite a few scratches unfortunately...but it is an 11 year old second hand car so, not the end of the world.

Oh and as I was cleaning the in need of a refurb alloys I spotted they`re 22`s not 20`s Embarassed

Lastly, suspension fault warning came on earlier again so back to Warrington Monday most likely Crying or Very sad Steve.

I'm not 100% sure but I think 22s might put too much strain on steering / drive train. Remember reading something on here about it a few times. A set of 20s will ride better too Thumbs Up

I think its the rack that had problems on early cars, even on 20 inch wheels In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

All S/C's and 4.4NA V8's in the U.K. Have the uprated rack, all RRS after 2007MY have it too (even non DR equipped cars) , pre 2007MY the rack was fitted as standard to any RRS HSE with the optional Dynamic Response Pack as the pack included 20" 10 spoke alloys.
The doom mongers like me warn about it because there was a whole lot of steering rack failures in the first year of RRS production when people wanted 20" Stormers on their SE and non DR equipped cars. LR instructed all dealers to void warranties on any car returned for servicing or repair and found to be running 20's or bigger on cars without the unrated steering rack....... I know there are people here who have run 22" wheels on their L320 RRS for years and had no problems but most of those cars are post 2007MY cars 9ie after October 2006 builds). If you search in the forum there is a thread that shows how to tell if a non-DR equipped 2005/2006 RRS has the uprated rack as some owners in the early days opted to have it retro fitted. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Had to go back to Warrington today as the car developed a "suspension fault" on Saturday. The Land Rover garage the seller uses plugged it in and there was a pressure problem. He went underneath the car (driver side). There`s a unit there with a qauze filter. He gave that a tap and sprayed some electrical contacts with electrical spray and the fault went....so nothing major.

He said if it comes back it`ll need a new filter, that`s all.

He knew it wasn`t the pump or anything more depressing as the fluid was moving around in the reservoir (forgot the name of it).

Thumbs Up Steve.
