Suspension compressor

Recently had the 160 000km service and one of the comments was that there was a leak in the system they didn't know where from but could have a look for a couple of hours @ 100€ / hour. But he reckons to change the whole compressor @ 1500€ plus work.
Given he didn't know where the leak was coming it sounds odd to change the compressor.
I figured i would check myself the air dryer cap, which is a common fault.
Finally was able to get under the car but what i've seen isn't what i wasn't expecting.
The compressor unit looks different than those i've seen on youtube videos or pictures

I was expecting to see something like this:

What i can also see on the compressor are some dates from February 2015. This makes me believe the whole unit was changed 2 years ago??

Based on the compressor unit i have, would i still get the cracked cap as per all the other posts i've read?

I haven't had any warning lights come on regarding suspension since the service.

no point changing a 2 year old compressor.

Is the car low down on the ground when left overnight? If not, don't worry

It's parked on gravel that moves a lot, sometimes it looks like the rear left is lower but then - uneven ground.
It raises fine and lowers fine.
Reckon i might put the fault codes down to being old also, especially as i've had no errors since the service. and the 'change the compressor' to grease monkey trying it on.

cheers
