hi all,

the coolant level warning light has occasionally started appearing on the dashboard. I have then checked the level and topped it up if needed. It then seems fine for a month or two, but then the warning light comes on again, and so it gets topped up again.

This has been going on for some time now and it's frustrating. The car has been looked at by our local garage where we take it to be serviced (not a main dealer) as I thought there might be a leak, but they can't find any evidence of leakage. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be as I wouldn't have thought the coolant would need topping up that often, if at all, or is it just the norm for a TDV8 '57 plate?

Egr cooler pipes, centre water outlet assembly (I think tdv8 is similar as tdv6 for that) or a head gasket leak possibly. Bodsys Brake Bible
