Thanks col really appreciate your's and everybody else's feedback I think tomorrow will be quite interesting As the firm that are doing the servicing sound very competent and work with a lot of range rovers but have advised me on upgrading the fuel system

Thanks col really appreciate your response and everybody else's I look forward to discussing this with the company doing my gearbox and supercharger service tomorrow as they are the ones who advised on upgrading the fuel system. Can not believe I actually found someone to do the supercharger service I have been looking for 4 months nobody wanted to do it

Not sure how they mean to upgrade the fuel system, but unless L/R have revised there prices somewhat a set of genuine L/R injectors were 6K yes that's 6000.00 pounds for a S/C. Big Cry

The 5.0 has the 32?

No idea DM, but I wouldn't be surprised. The 4.2 had an uprated version of the 6HP26 to handle its extra power over the diesels. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

According to the build spec. on mine which is a 5.0L S/C MY13 RRS1 it has the 6HP28 transmission fitted.

Not sure how accurate this quote is from a article I read, something about a second generation series. "ZF says the new 6HP28 can handle engines with a torque output of up to 553 lb.-ft. (750 Nm), which covers a wide range of large-displacement gasoline and diesel engines".

I also thought the 5.0L S/C produced 460 lbs/ft - 625 Nm of torque in standard form, but could be wrong on that one.

As far as I can tell you are absolutely correct with your figures I need to confirm what unit is in place and then go from there if the unit can handle 750 nm (the estimated figure of the stage 2 conversion)I am concerned about running it so close to the upper tolerance

Thanks Col, very valuable feedback.

Any accelerated drivetrain/other component wear & tear after the remap?

And fuel consumption after the remap?

thanks --

I had the remap done about 18 months ago and have had absolutely no issues with the drivetrain at all, I also have 21" SVR wheels fitted not sure whether they may increase the load as well. As far as fuel consumption is concerned it has probably improved by between 1-1.5 mpg which may not seem a lot but when you only get around 13 mpg I suppose it is, but if fuel consumption is a issue then they are the wrong vehicle to buy.
To be honest there is no need to have these cars remapped as they are quite capable of getting you in trouble without it. Rolling with laughter I had it done simply because I could. How long the transmission, drivetrain etc. last's would I suppose depend on how exactly you want to drive it, here in NZ the actual maximum legal speed limit is 100 kph. which I think is 62.5 mph.

Cheers
Col

Well pleased to say I spent a fantastic day yesterday at Turners diagnostics having my gearbox flushed and gearbox sump upgraded from plastic to metal also had axle oils changed at 56k i was shocked and stunned how badly the oils had degraded on what i consider a low mileage car we discussed the upgrades I am looking at and have been reassured that although there is never a 100% guarantee they cant see a problem with running 600bhp/750nm
