Pro chip

Hi guys just seen an ad on Facebook for pro chip boxes does anyone have any info on them ? £125 with 3 year warranty. They claim 240 horses for a 2.7 v6.
Cheers

Chip boxes are no good all they do is fool the ecu in to putting more fuel in if you are going to chip it get one from a reputable land rover expert i had a diesel tuning box which easily gave that power on my disco 3 still have it if you want to make me an offer look them up on the net Thumbs Up

As geoffsnook says, don't get a chip box. If you want to add power then get a remap from a pro' provider. Barrie.

As these chips trick the electronics to inject more fuel, by definition your MPG, will suddenly improve on your trip computer, but not your wallet.

Think about why!

Simple way of increasing the power to weight ratio, is to take out anything you don't want in the car, this normally reduces the amount of whining, especially if you have children.

Thanks guys I will steer clear. To be honest I am happy with the power , I am thinking of towing a caravan next year so its the extra torque I was interested in. I have got three good independent L R guys close to me so one of them can sort it if i decide to go down the remap route.

Thanks for the useful advice Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Very Happy Very Happy
