England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

I read somewhere that ALEGEDLY the OFT had issue with number of Stratstone dealers in the Aylesbury, Dunstable, Milton Keynes area. Obviously this is from a 'competition' perspective to allow customers to have fair pricing. I guess they sold to keep the OFT happy perhaps? TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.

I know someone, who is Chairman of Perrys Luton....He emailed me the other day:-

"We bought the business in December last year from Pendragon who trade as Stratstone. They had to sell the business as a result of acquiring the Reg Vardy Group, the DTI said they had too many Land Rover business's in the area and one had to go. It's a good opportunity for us, we have two other Land Rover businesses in Yorkshire and they do very well"

He has promised that one of his guys who will look after me on my next visit to the dealership. Nice chap.

Will keep you updated.

Last Monday I went to Perrys Dunstable, and test drove a new TDV8. Very nice motor, and improved brakes and suspension. A lot better than my old TDV8.

The sales guy, called Matt, is superb, gave me a good hospitality during my time there. not pushy, very helpful and doesnt have the demeanour of your usual sickly car salesman Very Happy

Just a heads up to you guys, as you maybe aware the former Stratstone Dealership has changed hands as is now under the management of Perrys Motor Group.

The line up of staff is the same, and if you received bad service prior then unfortunately you can gauruntee no improvement on that front, and with the current change over, the moral amongst employees is at an all time low, and very little motivation is present.

If you enter the dealership, then you will notice its lack of atmosphere and sparce appearance, Perrys have unfortunately not taken over the business in a smooth manner, no thought or planning has been used, and there are currently no computer systems in operation.

I can't forsee a bright horizon for Land Rover in Luton, and would recommend the far more exclusive dealerships in either Milton Keynes or Aylesbury.

I'm the Chairman of Perrys.

I'm not sure if you are a customer of the business or a former member of staff, however alot has changed since we acquired the business at the end of December 2006 and customers will find a high level of service, if you don't send me a pm.

I bought my D3 from Stratstones in Luton and have to say the whole process was nice & easy. I hope Perry's continue in the same way. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Our guys are trying hard, we are striving to build a positive reputation in the Luton/Dunstable area. We also own Rocar Moores in Huddersfield and Copley Motors in Halifax, both businesses sell an awful lot of cars and do very well in the Land Rover league tables so we must be doing something right.
