Aux input

I just purchased the aux input for the rear console and plugged the cable in but I don't hear any music when putting stereo into aux mode

My car did not come with the aux fitting as standard. Hence I purchased

Any ideas ?

Your car didn't have the aux input next to the 12v socket at the back at all?

Then you found the connections and have added the LR replacement with aux input?
Or added it differently?

Sometimes the 3.5mm jacks have a little too much plastic around them to allow the jack to go in fully. Bodsys Brake Bible

Hmmm
Have you tried turning the volume fully up on the input device ?
And then turn the volume up on the head unit ??
The aux input in my sport isn't very loud , so both input/head unit have to be turned up
Pretty high .
Hope you get sorted Thumbs Up

You get a much better sound if you have an aux directly yo the back of the head unit as the aux input in the back gets 'processed' which drops the volume levels significantly. Bodsys Brake Bible

Im also looking to bypass the original aux but cant find a new aux kit at all, they all
Seem to just be extensions as opposed to a full kit that you can wire into the wiring behind the head unit. Has anyone done this an have any recommendations?
Cheers

I purchased this off eBay which connects direct to back of stereo as I did not seem to be getting signal from wires in rear centre console upto the head unit ( checked with a test meter )

Yeah that does the same thing as soldering in an extra aux wire. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible
