3.0ltr TDV6 DPF issues?

I am going to look at a 2009 3.0ltr HSE in the next couple of days, which has a DPF.
A lot of my journeys are less than 10 miles and I am a bit concerned that the DPF may prove problematical.
Has anyone had that engine with the DPF, and what's your experience with it.
Cheers,
Chris.

I've had my 3.0 SDV6 RRS almost 11 months and with runs of 7 miles I've not 'yet' had any issue's. It does get a couple of 100+ mile runs about 6 monthly though so I don't know if this is keeping it all good. I'm not sure if there'll be much difference in SDV6 and TDV6 though?

I do find I fire up the petrol RR P38 when nipping the half mile to the local shop as I'd heard bad things about DPF's and short journeys.

Thanks for that, it's only got 50k on the clock so probably quite a number of short trips. Something to be aware of.

Low miles doesn't always mean short trips, take for example the many BMW's and Range Rovers that are used in the North East of Scotland (and other places), many of them sit more than half the year while the driver is offshore, then only used for social outings while onshore.
I myself spend over half the year working abroad and have currently covered about 4000 miles in the 11 months, albeit most of my runs are short.

Coincidentally, I went to look at a 2009 one with 42k on the clock which was from Scotland. Maybe one owned as above.
It drove nicely, albeit it had no DPF, but unfortunately it had been a smokers car.

My 6.5 year old 30,000 miler has only ever had DPF Full warning message twice in all those years and both when stuck in bad traffic. And both times the warning cleared after following instructions (I drive at 2000 to 2500 revs for a few minutes). L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!
