My first Range Rover.

I am so pleased I took the plunge, many friends telling me it was too extravagant a purchase, too costly to run etc. But they all agree, it is a stunning looking motor.

I have a couple of bits to sort, one is to replace the silver surround on the gear selector, the other is to fathom why I am getting wobble at 70 mph, having all 4 wheels balanced it hasn't stop the issue. I think it might be the tyres, when I bought the car it had the cheapest tyres on it. I have a 2 year LR warranty as well, so really pleased with that.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Well come to the forums - lovely photos, if you have a 2 year warranty then take it back and get the tyres changed for something more appropriate for an expensive car. The supplying dealer should also be able to cure the issue if it ain't the tyres, under warranty. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The wobble at a narrow speed range, if it's like a vibration, could also be the central bearing assembly to the propshaft from what I understand. Not a particularly expensive job to rectify from what I've read. 2005 RRS First Edition Supercharged

Ah right, I didn't know if this would be covered under the LR warranty as it is just a slight wobble at 70 mph, noticed it more in France as speed limit was 80 MPH.

I will give LR a call on Monday see if they would sort this for me.

Cheers.

I took it to my local garage just before I went on a long trip to check, they looked at all 4 wheels, balanced them, but said they couldn't work out why there was a wheel wobble as the car reached 70mph.

I will call LR warranty to see if they cover this as it is fairly trivial, if not I have details of a guy that looks after the tracking on high end cars as a specialist, probably cost me £80 for him to check it out.

Trivial or not, I would approach the garage/LR on the assumption that it was a warranty issue - let them try to prove otherwise. (Plus, have a good look at the 'small print' in the warranty first).

Take it back and say call me when it's fixed and oh your paying for it LR. Use that warranty to its max! Mine has been back a few times and all done under warranty. Renewed the 2 year warranty last month thankfully as it's back in for another oil leak. Don't ever ever accept that you pay! Visitor from fullfatrr.com

My wobble came down to when the previous owner put on none standard wheels, they never put on the wheel spacer. Ever since I've had no wobble.

Mine only vibrates when I get to 70 MPH, and it can sometimes be very slight, or sometimes more severe depending on the road I am on. What was it you were experiencing prior to the new steering rack?

Cheers.
