VDU and radio screen light delay when ignition turned off.

Sometimes, not always, the VDU 'Land Rover' screen and the radio facia screen lights stays on for quite a while (minutes rather than seconds) after I switch off the ignition, remove the key and lock up. This obviously takes some usage from the battery. Just wondered if this is normal, or whether there's a setting somewhere that I'm not aware of. And strange that it doesn't happen all the time. I noticed that if I just went to get something out the car.

Unlocked, and locked, without turning the ignition on, the display would stay lit for nearly 10 mins Rolling Eyes

So now I always turn the ignition to pos I and off.

Thanks Andy. I've taken to turning the ignition on and off and noticed that the screen and radio lights when out straight away. Seems strange they remain on so long when just unlocking to get something. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Barrie.
