For what it's worth there's a few American sites talk about cracking those manifold lines and pumping pedal, sounds messy but worth a go maybe Confused

Hi,

I experiencing the same problem and have replaced the master cylinder. I didn't check the servo for oil but I will do that now. I'm expecting it to have oil so out of interest did you have to get the servo replaced or was it ok just sucking the oil out?

at the moment Ian I have sucked out oil with a syringe and refitted master cylinder. had a Censored of a job bleeding but borrowed a pressure bleeder which sorted it.

im not sure its fully cured because it may have sucked more oil in but now ive fitted a catch tank(that wont collapse) in the vacuum line to catch any oil that comes up the pipe.

So I went straight out and cracked off the master cylinder, got my vacuum pump in the servo and sucked this out. My RRS has the modified vacuum pipe on so they must have done something wrong when the recall was done or the non return valve is faulty. I've booked it into the dealer and will attempt to get them to resolve it FOC, they tried to say it would be £130 to diagnose it. They soon agreed this was relating to the recall issue so they would do the diagnostic FOC for me.

Sorry to hear you had a rough time bleeding your brakes, I bench bled my new master cylinder then bled it from the fuel line connections. Luckily it worked great first time but I gave each caliper a bleed then just to be thorough.

Still have the hard brake pedal when its pushed a couple of times whilst driving, slight improvement now i've sucked the oil out though. Next job ..... into battle with the dealer Thumbs Up

Thought I'd give an update, my RRS went into Landrover today they confirmed the recall was carried out in 2010. They confirmed the problem had re-occurred and will be carrying out the work to rectify free of charge. Result!
