Car over the last 24 hours seems to be very sluggish from a standing start.
I can press the accelerator to the floor and it slowly builds up momentum. Once it hits about 30 km/ h the rev counter spikes to 3500 rpm. Then it settles down. From then on any press on the loud peddle is normal.
But from a standing start or slow crawl its slow to respond.

This may be purely coincidental but a friends Classic American car had a flat battery and he need a jump. Cables were attached and whilst he was trying to turn his car over his battery sparked and the negativee terminal 'melted' off from the battery on his car. All ither factions of my car are fine.

An odd idea, but have you inadvertently put it in to grass/gravel/snow on the Terrain Response settings? This gives a very soft throttle as you have described.

Other than that, you need to check for any error codes recorded since you helped your friend. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for the replies, so it seems 2 * 90 minutes jaunts up the motorway have set it back to normal operations.
