Range Rover Sport Brake Light / Suspension Fault

A few months back I had my compressor and front strut replaced on my Range Rover Sport 2005 as I was getting suspension fault and the vehicle had dropped completely to the bump stops. All was going well for a few months until I started to get the suspension fault warning again when I came to a stop at a junction or traffic lights. I spoke to my local Land Rover specialist and they said it could be height sensors or possibly a faulty brake light. I checked my brake lights and it turned out my right hand side brake light was out. I done the obvious and changed the double filament bulb but for some reason the right hand brake light is still not working. From reading on this forum I've discovered the problem could lie with a faulty brake light switch. My question is, could a faulty brake light switch cause only one of the brake lights to fail, or is it more likely to be the new bulb was a dud, or does the problem lie elsewhere? Any input would be welcome!

No it won't be the switch stopping 1 light working.

Either

1) bad contact on bulb holder.
2) problem with light connector
3) faulty bulb
4) faulty wiring at the rear of the car.

You can get replacement bulb holder looms on ebay for around £20 if it were 1 or 2

One off the connector pins was pushed in. Had a poke at it and all lights are working fine now. Still getting suspension fault when I stop though. Any idea what it would be Andy? Thanks for the help!

Did they replace the compressor with the uprated AMK unit ?
If yes did they update the software for it.
The fault message could also be caused by a low level.of voltage in the vehicle battery. Try checking it with a voltmeter.

I'm not quite sure to be honest with you. I think the part was in the region of £460 if that means anything? I'll check the battery and see if it needs charged.
