Order difficulty - options

I ordered a HSE with some very specific options (drive pack pro) and when I was within 3 hours of collection dealer rang to say the car wasn't as specified - had lots of option I didn't want and they needed a contribution to the extras. .... or order another car.

They have been very good so I now have a decent discount on new order but they have advised I wait until MY18. That leaves me with no RRS until Sept/Oct.

So now need to buy one to take me through until that time - seen an MY17 plate '66' AB for £72k how much will I lose on that until I get mine ?

Advise appreciated (or if someone wants to sell me one !!!)

The dealer should provide you with a vehicle on loan until yours arrives. No questions. If not, get JLR CRC involved. It isn't your fault.

When did you order this car? Did the dealer order the wrong spec or has the wrong car turned up? Even so you shouldn't have to pay for someones mistake as there is plenty of margin in these cars. Would you be happy to take the car?

The part-ex values are smoke and mirrors. They will give you as little as they can. Expect £800-1000/month on sale price to part-ex value imho. Facelift not due to next year? How long do you wanna wait..... Gone:

Not your fault - it's theirs. Push to take the car as is and the dealer should take the hit - if not they need to get you in to a car for the duration until your new one arrives - good luck Thumbs Up
