As far as I am aware the MY18 RRS and FFRR changes are due to be announced around July time Thumbs Up

Wouldn't consider changing what is such a remarkable car for something that may be ever so slightly better in some areas.

Any facelift will be to ensure the Velar fits better into the gap and smooth the landscape (both spec and price) across the range. The interior is fine as it is (especially mine). More tech could be a good thing, could not. Simple things like the move of the seat heat control onto the temperature dial last year was for some a good move, but it's left a blanked 'poverty-spec' button on the dash. Introduction of the Velar's touch-sensitive centre console would be a bold move (although I very much doubt it would happen for a good few years yet) and would drive me mad. Finger-prints on the sat nav screen is bad enough, and I would hate people having to use their grubby fingers/stab their sharp fingernails on it. 574hp in the SVR? Would be an obvious thing to do since the F-type has it and the F-pace may get it, but playing the numbers game is for marketing and wouldn't make one iota of difference to how I enjoy the car. I very mich doubt I could tell the difference.

If the rear has been facelifted it'll be interesting to see if the SVR's has. To me, though, a facelift is not enough reason to change.

I was lent an MY17 RRS AB and there were no empty buttons on the dashboard - even though the heated seats control were on the knobs the heated seat button was still there on the dash - strange Question

Hmmm. The configurator shows the button too but I'm sure it's blank on my colleague's. May have dreamt it. Confused

Don't lynch if I'm wrong but I believe on the MY17 the button is a blank when the dual view screen is NOT specced. I think the dualview shortcut 'button' replaces the seat shortcut 'button' along the bottom of the main touchscreen nav display. This results in the touchscreen 'seats' shortcut option disappearing and then being relocated to the blank actual button below, where it always used to be...

I have a blank!! If I'd known, I'd have probably specced dualview! Neutral

Incidentally I think I'd also dislike the Velar multitude of touchscreen button on the dash/steering wheel, much prefer the physical action of pressing. Porsche have done the same thing on the centre console of the Panamera, distracting as sometimes you are not sure if your 'press' has been acknowledged!?

The MY17 I was lent did not have dual view or TV but it had the heated seat button - I am getting lent another MY17 next week for the long weekend so will take a look again!

EVO1's SVR doesn't appear to have the button:

Maybe it's to do with climate seats - SVR doesn't have them of course.

You may be right, my MY17 Autobiography (Mar 1 delivery/Feb. build) does have a seat climate button in that row.
