Mats & Fittings

Evening all,

My 06 has factory mats and the front mats have two fixings each, which twist to hold it in place.

I would like to upgrade to something a little more luxurious but everything I look at is made for a single eyelet.

Is the single eyelet a later fitting and can the fittings in my car be removed without damaging the carpet?

My 2010 model has single fixings on the LR mats. Looking at the fixing it should come out without damaging the carpet, and looking at aftermarket fixings on e-b*y they use what is effectively a bent nail to hold into the carpet. There are plenty of twist to lock fixings on there too. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.

The rubber mats in my 2007 have the single centre fixing, managed to get some genuine carpet mats on the bay for £80 new but they need the 2 corners fixing grr Nanocom Evo

I got some fixings for my wife's car from here:

I'm sure they are pretty much universal. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll have a go at removing one of the fittings as I'll happily swap to the single eyelet fitting if it doesn't ruin the carpet.
