Computer failures?

Not sure what the cause was, but driving down the M1 on Boxing Day the cruise control wouldn't resume and a message said "Cruise Control Unavailable". Then tried the front distance warning, and that wouldn't illuminte. Then noticed the phone had disconnected and Phone Not Available. I also got the impression that the suspension had become rock solid.

Anyway, 30 miles later stopped for another 80 quids worth, restarted and all was well.

Must have been the excess from the day before. Anyone else had similar gremlins?

I've had my ACC shut down cos it was blocked by sleet and snow once or twice, but not for no reason.

Packed up again today. Worked fine. I slowed down to leave the M1. Pressed resume a few minutes later and "Cruise Not Available" came up.

Also noticed the steering 'pull to the left' seemed bad. Stopped at Leicester Forest service station on the way back and noticed the car leaning to the left. Raised, lowered, raised, raised, lowered suspension and better now.

Computers. I hate 'em.

Folks do seem to report these problems every now and again... the golden rule of computers applies: reboot and it'll go away! Wink Mind you, if it starts to happen regularly might be worth a trip to your friendly neighbourhood stealer (where he will no doubt say it's the first time he's ever heard of anything like that happening).
