Traction Control activating on corners

Morning all,
Looking for some ideas on resolving my issue with the traction control. It seems to come on when going round a corner at a normal speed. There's only a couple of other threads on this topic which haven't been much help.

Details so far:
New lower wishbones
New wheel bearings
New tie rod ends
Wheels are 20" fitted with hancooks

I have a suspicion my ARB bushes need replacing as there is a squeaking from the front when going over bumps. Could this be the issue?
Thanks for the help! 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

It is not traction control that is activating but stability control is kicking in as the systems are detecting some yaw when cornering.

The first place to look is tyre pressures, as DSC will kick in if a tyre is much flatter than the rest.

If all tyres are inflated correctly then I will leave it to others to advise where to look further.

Ahh yeah, that's what I meant, the dsc.
I should have said as well, all pressures are correct, and there are no fault codes found using iid!

Your steering wheel angle sensor might need recalibration.

Hi TomTerrain,
Did you get to the bottom of this fault, got a 2007 RRS doing the same. New tyres, all good pressures, full 4 wheel hunter alignment after new lower arms and tie rods fitted. But still get DSC warning when turning right. Also steering feels not as smooth as before.

Cheers

Had the same issue on my D3. Found the rear upper sus bushes were shot on one side which is why the DSC was only kicking on when cornering in one direction only. Replaced bush problem sorted .. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

thanks Camelrock, will check that out tomorrow. Taken it to a local indy garage but asked them to check the front again due to rough ride, didn't think it could be rear

Not yet:(. I've been sorting out a new vehicle so not had a chance! I'll check the rear, but I have a knocking from the front, so I'm sure it must be there somewhere! 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

Bowesman, have you had any luck?
I've finally managed to replace the front ARB bushes. I got a set of brand new tyres at the same time, so the ride would be smoother anyway, but the knocking has disappeared from the front, and the DSC hasn't activated so far! 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

Hi TomTerrain

Don't think it's sorted yet, now had my Diff oil changed and asked my local Indy Garage to see if they could replicate the problem and asked them to check rear upper sus bushes as Camelrock suggested. Garage gave it a thorough test but couldn't find anything amiss. Even checked steering calibration but everythings looks ok.

Told me to bring it back if it starts getting more frequent.

Still none the wiser.

Cheers Pete

Does it squeak when you're going over bumps? And knock when you turn? It felt like there was something loose in the steering!
I did take it to a garage to replace the ARB bushes, and they tried to do it, but couldn't. They said they didn't need changing anyway! But like I said, I managed to do them myself, and it's completely resolved all the issues I had. Handles like a completely different car now! 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged
