Delivery

Has anyone had their new car delayed for delivery
Mine was supposedly finished built on 8th March
My dealer cannot give me a delivery date to them as there is a queue of cars
in quality control waiting inspection?
Anyone else with their car delayed? and awaiting delivery

Can't comment on the reason for delay but do you realise that you will be paying a much higher rate of tax now that you missed the 31st March delivery....maybe worth pushing for the dealer to pick up that tab?

More concerned about getting the car
They have agreed to pay the extra road tax
But when will l get the car

That's a good result for you. I have had two new cars from JLR and they have arrived 7-10 days after being built on both occasions.

I guess only they can tell you when you would get the car

Got mine a few days before ETA and within old tax rules. What model are you waiting for?

Cancelled my D5 order as it slipped from the 1st March - that I was told was for a deployable tow bar.

Decided to go for a RRS (that no one wanted), just waiting on the same deployable tow bar to be fitted (collect it tomorrow), they also agreed to work out a deal for the tax.

Mine was due 27th March so was worried about it arriving late but arrived early around 10th

But how much of it? If they only defray the first year's extra tax you will be well out of pocket over several more years to come.

lets face it, compared to depreciation, the additional VED is not a lot. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

However, from the information supplied, the delay is caused by JLR, not the dealer. It is JLR that should be picking up the penalties for late delivery!

My car was built on 24th March with delivery / collection for 10th April. I asked my dealer to register the car on 31st March, which they did.
