Suspension - leaning to the left!

Ok, so about a week ago I joined the "only normal suspension height" club - which cleared for a few days to be followed by "suspension fault" bottom line is the car is 2" lower on the near side😡 Assuming this is a new compressor job?? Unsure if I should be driving it (stays leaning when being driven)
Any (sensible) ideas? - it's currently a very expensive garden ornament!

Give Andy a call at Landers Garage:

http://www.landersgarage.co.uk/

Maybe limp carefully up to see them - it is not that far away in Houghton Regis. They know their stuff. Thumbs Up They are open on Saturday morning.

I'm close to you (Harpenden) but unfortunately my IID Tool won't read the codes on your car as it is a different model.

Well - it would but we'd have to pay to add another VIN so not very cost-effective. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

FYI, I have exactly the same issue. The lean is very prominent in off-road height! I have IID, and no codes showing! 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

Ride height already recalibrated. My air bags are original and looking pretty worn, so might change them out 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

£1000 to supply and fit a compressor? Sounds a bit steep. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Was the thing thinking the same, my local Indy (venture 4x4) charged £685 to change a Hitchi to an AMK

Hi mate.

I had exactly the same issue on my TDV8 when I first bought it a few months back. There were two issues with it listed below.

1. Two of the suspension legs had worn shocks and didn't allow it proper damping. If you push hard on the front bumper to bounce it, it should bounce evenly. Mine didn't and bounced from side to side indicating a worn shock absorber.

2. Go to you nearest Land Rover dealer and ask them to recalibrate the suspension height for you.

I wasted a lot of time going to an independent garage who told me there was a fault with the height sensors. All four were replaced and still the same fault existed.
They told me that they had recalibrated the height and that it was impossible to adjust any further.

I took it to Land Rover (Chipperfield) who were nothing short of amazing and extremely helpful.

I spoke to the chief mechanic there who explained that the machines most indy garages have cannot access in enough detail what the main dealer computer can do.

I let them have the car for two hours and it came back dead level and has been so ever since. They also updated all the software at the same time so I was very happy.

It cost about £300-ish from memory and well worth every penny.

Hope that helps.
