I thought it very similar to the "old" Top Gear with Clarkson & Co. Only the faces have been changed to protect the innocent!!!!

Old Jock 2018 (MY19) Jaguar F-Pace R-Sport 300PS Petrol in Caesium Blue with many bells and whistles.
2015 RRS HSE SDV6 Firenze Red with Santorini Panoramic Glass Roof, gone but not forgotten.

I'm away from the UK and am out of touch with TV, who are the presenters for this season? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Matt LeBlank is joined by Rory Reid and Chris Harris.

Nope, still not there. Trying to copy the old trio, but not working. '08 RRS TDV8

Apart from Matt LeBlanc, they haven't got the personality for it, leaving him with no-one to 'bounce' off. I recorded it, and mostly watched it on fast forward.

Yep, they're trying too hard to copy the old trio, and failing.

Gents, I have been a favourite for the old Top Gear boys and still watch all the reruns on Dave, I have watched The Grand Tour and found mainly very good but some parts not. I refused to watch the new Top Gear purely as I'm not a fan of Chris Evans and maybe being a bit childish was hoping it would fail and it did. Would it be worth my while watching the new set up or would it be just a waste of time Question

chris evans did at least bring a little bit of charisma, definitely lacking in all 3 now.

Each to his own but I thought it was entertaining (my wife thought it was rubbish). It also needs time to bed in as its not perfect. I'm sure the first ever Clarkson Top Gear wasn't totally accepted straight away. I do get the feeling with the Grand Tour, that they're trying a bit too hard, and again I think that will settle down in time. Robin

Most car enthusiasts had some empathy with the old Top Gear presenters - "three blokes down the pub".

This almost certainly cannot be recreated by the current team particularly as one is an American who looks more at home in the sports bar than the public bar.

I didn't think that the chit chat looked natural and unscripted and I didn't really enjoy the program which has clearly been designed with a view to international sales. Regards

Malcolm

Good show tonight, enjoyed it.
Weirdly, I thought the Alfa looks great, funny how tastes differ. Completely unique.
I've owned a few Alfas and never thought I'd own another again but I'd buy one of those in a heartbeat, if I had a spare £60 grand.
As opposed to the M3, it'll depreciate like a stone so maybe I'll wait a couple of years Very Happy Thumbs Up

Don't know, the team interaction is just not there.

Alfa segment ok, American segment ok, good scenery, but again no feeling in the team, Leblanc is not really in.

Studio segment, just no, way slooow. '08 RRS TDV8
