United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Very quickly skimming those ebay adds, its all about how the vehicle has been maintained in the past - if its had compressor, turbos, regular servicing, etc, then it is better than one with 30k less, and no maintainance. You cant really get a feel for that from the ebay add, so it might be worth calling the owners and seeing what vibe you get. Although another point to consider is that sub-100k, you should be able to get an aftermarket warranty, which seems to be impossible when you pass 120k

Ok, found a couple more for some expert opinions Thumbs Up

First one is probably my second choice of colour but it has the interior I prefer..

Second one...

They seem to have some nice high end motors......

Lastly a lower mileage one...

Thanks for looking Thumbs Up

None of those has a correct "full" service history even though they all claim to have. The RRS has a service interval of 15k miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. So vehicles that are 8, 9 or 10 years old should have a 8, 9 or 10 services. Some of the services are 20k miles apart too. All indicative of a lack of care or perhaps being run on a budget.

Of course, all are from traders and so you have some protection under law if they break in the early stages of your ownership. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yep....me again....I`m back lurking Laughing After all my questions I decided against a Sport for now and changed my ST for a.....Merc C350 Sport. Great car, everything on it but I like to look at my cars and be impressed....but I`m not at the mo....so, I`m looking at Sports AGAIN Very Happy

I`m looking at the petrol ones cos as I said in previous posts, I only do 6-7k a year so fuel isn`t an issue.

Sooo, am I right in saying the 4.2 are supercharged and 385 ish bhp and the 4.4 and just V8 and under 300bhp? Second question (sorry)....is one engine better than the other as far as reliability is concerned or are both a good pick? I really fancy a 4.2 SC cos the sound of those is Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Cheers in advance once again Smile

Oh and I`ve noticed the petrol are much cheaper...most are around the 10k mark (early ones)...is that about right

4.2 SC is 395bhp I think.

4.4 no supercharger. Very rare.

Most people go for the 4.2, because if you have a petrol you may as well just have fun Very Happy and annoy Porsche drivers

Yeah I`ve not seen many 4.4`s. I would prefer the SC for obvious reasons Very Happy ...just wondered if there were any issues.

So...looking at a lot....they vary between 10k and 16 - 17k. Now comparing many from each price range, there doesn`t seem a big difference...only in price and mileage...so why go for one which is 6k more? Confused.com
