I honestly can't see the RRS prices going up that much as the financial climate will not be great in the U.K. Over the next few years, I know they export around 80% of what's made but they still need a strong U.K. Customer base buying new cars.

The online discount companies will still be there to be used & I would think that if the price does rise by more than 2-3% the acheiveable discounts will also go up. As I have said before the sellers need the customers as much if not more than the other way round!

Only a couple of months to go RRSman. I'm sure you'll keep us posted on how you get on with it. Pretty sure ( I think Embarassed ) that I am not going to buy one but still interested in finding out what it's like in real life. May test drive one when dealerships get their demos.

I sure will do - I hope I like it - bloody a lot of money to be throwing at a car without even having driven it! Embarassed

Absolutely right there my friend - different cars for different people with different tastes. I think the light weight doors are great and would certainly contribute to what JLR want to achieve with a sporty ride.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Spotted at Taggarts Land Rover, Glasgow this afternoon - a pair of Velars. One in Corris SE with Ebony Interior, the other looked like Carpathian HSE, wasn't Santorini Black as more grey in it with Ivory/Oyster interior. One a D240 the other a D300. I don't understand why the number plate recess needs to be so huge. It is a lovely car in the flesh, but very low compared to RRS and after driving RRS I think folks will be unhappy not to be able to see over other traffic/hedgerows.

I have to make a trip to Inverness on Friday, will call in at Parks (ex Macrae & Dick) and see if they have theirs in yet.

If its too low I may as well go the whole nine yards and try and chase down an F Type again. Don't plan to chop the RRS until the warrantee is up October 2018 and we may be building a new house on our front lawn, if we can get planning, so it could be a Transit van next! 2018 MY19 HSE Dynamic, Santorini, Ebony/Ivory, Sliding pano, Adaptive cruise, Black wheels. Arrived 3rd September 2018
2015 MY16 HSE Dynamic, Santorini, ebony/cirrus, sliding pano, cameras, black wheels - Arrived 1 October 2015

Hi Tony,

Parks have a launch party this Friday and Saturday, didn't CS send you an invite? I thought you chaps were the best of friends!

Hi Jock,

No invite, must be a Park's thing, always got one from M&D.

Sign of things to come and the slippery slope to changing brands, although I am looking for any excuse to try an F Type next.
