United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zambezi Silver
coding help required

Hi guys, newbie here to the world of land rover. First one bought, and some of you may think im nuts but it needs a 'little' work... Rolling with laughter

Its a RRS 3.6 TDV8 HSE with a few bits and bobs... and has suffered some fire damage in the cabin.

Im in the process of fixing it and need some veteran help when it comes to coding of a few things.

The dash and drivers seat area were the worst affected really. So far I have stripped out the inside bare, cleaned the entire inside of smoke and blackness. Removed the damaged windscreen and sunroof, wiring looms etc.

I have got a complete new loom/dash frame/heater box and carpets fitted so far, also a new steering column and ignition.

Most of the parts to complete and have arrived and I have ordered a JLR SDD cable and software to hopefully correct any coding as I need to replace the speedo cluster, headlight switch and transponder ring around the ignition.

Im unsure about this used cluster I have and if its possible to code it in. I have read I need to swap an eeprom of the back to retain the mileage etc which is fine but is SDD able to do the coding after that?

Heres a few pics of my last week or so's hard work Smile

Its really not as bad as it looks, all interior cosmetic and glass damage only, no exterior damage at all thankfully, 70% of the interior wasn't burnt but to get the smell to leave it all had to go Shocked

Its certainly been interesting so far, but not complex at all, literally, nuts, bolts, clips, and a LOT of wiring Censored

I bought it from a friend who peeved someone off, think it was over a woman... says it all really Laughing

I would make a point of telling whoever your friend annoyed that he no longer owns the car, or you may end up getting keyed or worse.. Whistle

it was a bit of a coin toss between it and the gap tool, but for all the SDD cost i thought i migjt aswell give it a try. A friend has a GAP tool i can borrow but pretty sure i have to pay £60 to register my vin number in order to use it. fingers cross it all works out!

made some progress today, heres some poor iphone pics Rolling with laughter
