Location of front heated windscreen fuses

Hello all
I am trying to locate the fuses/relays for my 2012 front windscreen. The right side is not working at all. The connector to the window has no power. checked the hand book and it has no reference to the fuses. Also tried a search on the site to no avail.
Help would be greatly appreciated

try looking at the symbols on the lid in the fusebox under the bonnet.

It only has 1 relay so won't be that

On early models its fuse 15 R & 18 L

Cheers Andy, the fuses are different on the MY12. I think I may have identified them but need to confirm so I can do some accurate testing.
I think they are the high capacity slow blow square fuse, looks a bit like a relay

They are in a bank of six fuse locations to the rear and slightly left, sort of pink square 30amp rated fuse position 2 is right hand side and six is left hand side.

There is also as L/R service bulletin about fitting a different type of fuse as it is a know issue to MY12/13 cars blowing these fuses, I think I have a copy somewhere which I will try and find, as I had the same issue and the local dealer wanted to fit a new screen for me at £640,00 after saying they had checked everything when it was a blown £1.25p fuse.

Cheers
Col

Cheers Col, I suspect it was the J type fuses, but they are both in tact, so I suspect the relay may be faulty. I have no voltage at the right hand window connector. If you have the TSB, that would be excellent.

There is power at both the fuses so suspect it may be the relay. I don't have any schematics to see how the power is delivered to the screen. MY12 RRS HSE

My driver's side heated screen is not working. Did this thread resolve whether each side is fixed separately?

Any advice would be appreciated Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

Hello Bill
Fixed mine with a new screen, paid for by the garage. If yours is not working remove the interior a pillar trim and the connectors are easily accessible to check with a multi meter.
Only a couple of the heated elements worked on mine due to a poorly fitted screen.

Gently prise out the Oval Airbag Grommet at top of pillar, underneath is a torx headed screw can't remember if it's 20 or 25, remove it, should stay in the trim as it's held in place by the plastic. The just gently pull out from the top as has a small plastic locating lug at the top and lift upwards out of locating recess at the bottom.

Cheers
Col

It seems that the Incredible Hulk is employed on the LR assembly line and is responsible for putting in the torx screws mentioned above. They're solid!

Col, do you have that schematic wiring diagram that you mentioned earlier? I'd like to have a rummage around the fuses and relays before I strip the torx screw heads completely. Merc C220 estate Sport AMG
