Recently had Bodsy round to fit the remote control option for the FBH.

Bodsy ran tests at the time and everything seemed fine but I couldn't test it properly in action at the time as the car was suffering from the dreaded fuel sender issue, meaning the FBH wouldn't fire up as the car thought there was no fuel.

Now that is fixed I am able to start the FBH either via the Remote or via the timer option on the infotainment screen.

I get the tell tale white smoke that looks like the heater is kicking into action and it is just about creating enough warmth after 30 minutes to de-ice the bottom half of the screen but I am sure in my previous L494 there was much more heat after a shorter time.

Is there a simple way to check/clean out the FBH unit or does this require a dealer visit? MY2010 TDV8 purchased Jan 2017

L494 remote heating is much faster and more effective than L320 in my experience but 30 mins to defrost half the windscreen doesn't sound right by any standards. Mine used to de-ice in just a few minutes but the cabin wouldn't heat up as quickly as it does in the new model. I would get it looked at. Sorry, can't advise on what to check/clean. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Please a little help...

Just got a 2015 V8 Autobio. Ive been looking to see if it's possible to activate the Timed Climate (like on the old one) so just a few questions.

Is it possible?
Are they all fitted with the FBH still like that old ones?
Where can I get it done, If it is possible?

I looked in to getting the IID unit it do it myself but 400 quid seems a bit steep to do it, plus remote and loom etc..
