iPad mount over cd RRS 2007 - App?

I was thinking of mounting my iPad Air using magnets over the front of the cd unit....I have seen a couple of images of what looks like RR apps showing badge and speed etc, does anyone know the name of the app please? Linking my phone to BT and then for volume for iPad nav fm transmitter

I would be interested to see how this works out, I think the app your talking about might be

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details...or.indrive

A 10" Android tablet with a giffgaff sim card could be a serious option for replacement head unit

Also would this be better for the mount ?

I can see those working as well, This could be an interesting project as I know there are limited options for Head Unit replacement whilst maintaining the factory nav and screen.

Keep us updated on your progress

Not really limited at all you can put any double din head unit in there and retain factory Nav screen Very Happy TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

The only thing that doesn't work is audio from the standard sat nav. See this thread:

No replacemet head unit uses the Fibre Optic loop all the current solutions involve the use of the Incartec fitting kit as linked in my install thread to bypass the amp under drivers seat from there you can install your choice of double din head unit Thumbs Up TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten
