I'm wondering if anyone else has come across this one. If the heater fan is running, car stationary and engine off as you turn up the fan there is a directly ilinked wind noise from the drivers window. I imagine it must be a seal issue as when you turn the fan to recirculate then the noise disappears. Has anyone come across this and if so what did you do to stop it. Apart from turning up the radio I'm at a loss. It's only a quiet whistle but it's really annoying! New RRS

You may have discovered the reason already given the time to answer.

I think it's to do with the dash aircon vents being 'on' but being turned off with the rotary knob. On my RR, I can hear a windy whistle if I do this....

I haven't tried that in the RRS, however, most cars make more of a wind noise through the A/C when they are not on recirculate. Every car I have ever driven infact. I think the noise you speak is is coming from the dashboard and the air/noise is being pushed to you drivers door. If this is happenening when you car is not moving, I doubt that it is a seal problem. It's more likely an inherent trait in the Aircon system.
