Garbox fault, Park Brake fault, Stability control .....

All these error messages plus, 'Cruise not available', "Emergency brake assist not available", have recently started flashing up. I can be trolling along happily, either on road or off, and then all these messages suddenly appear. No obvious actual faults and the park brake still works. Tuirn the car off and back on again and life returns to normal until the next time.

Any thoughts?

Battery and / or alternator maybe.
Get them both checked. Plenty of info on here on how to test. Also on disco3 forum.

Just days after buying mine I was heading to the dealers about another issue when I got this bleeping and the display started cycling through loads of warnings saying basically nothing was working - similar messages to what you wrote. The messages cycled really quickly and then I was left with the yellow triangle, yellow park symbol and the yellow car with squiggly lines. The car was plugged in and the mechanic said it was a calibration issue, steering if I remember correctly. So that was done and no more errors.

Might be worth getting the codes checked if you've not already done so? 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

Thanks again - I have a suspicion it may be steering related. The fault has occurred about four times now and on at least three of those times I have been cornering hard enough to feel a smidgin of G-force. The first time was crossing a slippery stubble field and everything was going a bit sideways. I'll let you know how/when/if I find the cause and solution.

If you are driving it like that again try immobilising the DSC, that may be what has been causing your warnings as it "thinks" that using big steering or throttle inputs is the precursor to an accident and it will cut the power and throw up warnings. If you press the DSC button in then it will default to on if you switch off the ignition and restart again, but don't forget to re-instate it if you go back onto the road - your insurer might refuse a claim if you have it inhibited on the paved road as it is an accident avoidance aid. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, when I said 'a smigin of G-force', I meant exactly that. There were no big steering or throttle inputs at all, just enough cornering to make me feel more pressure against one side of my seat than the other side.

Anyway, after a visit to my local independent garage the diagnostic threw up a fault relating to the brake [pedal/light?] sensor switch. That's being changed tomorrow and they seem pretty confident that the fault will be solved.

The Indy doing the job is MID Engineering near Wantage. Based on everything else they've done I can thoroughly recommend them. Fault seems to be cured.

England 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi hope everyone is well and I hope you can give me some advice on this problem that I have

I have a 2007 RRS 2.7 td6 HSE the last couple of days I have had the hdc transmission and parking brake fault come up giving me limited gears but when I carry out the EPB reset its fine and have no problems with any of the above is this a sign that the EPB module is on its way out? Just wondering if anyone had had this problem any info is much appreciated

TIA

Mac

Well just had to call out the AA as the gearbox gave up and the engine kept stalling and would not rev
AA codes were as follows

Patrol found the following fault code/s:System : Gear control - 21Z / 6-sp. aut.trans. ZF 6HP26 Status :U0155 - Communication with instrument cluster. Error Message : Missing message. error static. Status :P0730 - Gear ratio. Error Message : Malfunction. error sporadic. Status :U2023 - CAN bus. Error Message : Signal invalid. error static.loads of fault codes most cleared some returning ie listed veh in emerg gear followed home

This has been an intermittent fault for a few weeks only happen occasionally never like this before though
I went out and checked all the visible wiring I could see on top of the engine removed sins plugs cleans them up now it's running perfectly again smooth quiet all gears work fine,

This is pecking my head now as it left the wife stranded on a country road in the dark with the kids in it and stalled while she was turning dues any one have any ideas I think it's electrical not mechanical

Cheers all
