RRS 3.6 TDV8 EGR Delete

Hi,
I am new to the forum and have recently purchased a 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.6 TDV8 in Bronze.
I have been told that the EGR valves can be deleted off the ECU to stop them clogging up/putting on EML.
Could anyone please recommend a local specialist to me (Worcestershire) who can carry out this precedure?
I have also seen on quite a few posts that Bodsy (I think that is your name) does this service and travels around the country doing it. Unfortunately as I am a new member I can't PM you directly.
Many thanks,
Will

I thought blanking them on the V8 was not an option,,, easy done on the V6, but not possible on the V8.
If you do have trouble with the valves ( as I have recently had) bite the bullet and replace both at the same time as it will save you money in the long term.
Historically speaking the egr valves on the V8 are a lot less trouble than on the V6. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Mine failed within a few months of each other at 92k which is why I suggest doing both at once otherwise it's like doing the same job twice! 2010 RRS, TDV8

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your replies and sorry for taking a while to reply myself I haven't been on the forum recently.
I haven't actually got the car yet (hopefully getting it later this week) but after reading up about all the problems with EGR valves on these cars I thought it would be best to blank them off?
I have found a company called Avon Tuning in Bristol that blank off the EGR valves and write them out of the software which sounds reasonable to me.
Has anyone used them before?
Many thanks,
Will

As I said earlier in the thread,,, V6's are easily blanked,, never seen anyone posted having blanked a V8 Egr valve. It's the V6 that has most issues with these. Search the forum before you make any hasty decisions. 2010 RRS, TDV8
