Muddys L200 Loaner

Had to get the PHEV drivers seat looked at yesterday for a creak Sad

So I was given a L200 for the day and not sure I should say it on here but................ I was impressed.................. again Shocked

This is absolutely massive but still averaged 36 mpg, RFL is only £230 and about half the price of a Deafener Cool

Few year back I was loaned a Deafener Double Cab and it was nowhere near as refined as the L200 - I remember trying to listen to the radio was impossible over the racket it made - the L200 is like a Rolls Royce by comparison Confused

I was trying to convince SWMBO I need one for DIY and garden rubbish instead of a towbar - although to be fair I didn't like the manual gearbox or the wheel spin in 2wd when the turbo kicked in after the lag but still easier to live with than a Defender - I could actually go further than the local tip/Diy store in this happily - 70mph on the dual carriageway was pretty relaxing. I didn't like the rear cover on this one but the hardtop version could swallow the contents of a flat Mr. Green

Sadly what followed later (see PHEV thread) put an end to this idea Evil or Very Mad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

Ive ordered a new VW Amarok highline today from VW in hull,I've had a few L200's in the past the old shape 03ish models but don't like the new shape,I've also had a few navaras last one being a my15 which I paid 18k for spent 1k on extras & after 4 month of ownership someone offered me 20k for it so that went.I really miss the pickups so I ordered the VW,I would have got another navara but don't like the new shape as it looks like all the other double cabs.plus VW are offering 0% finance so I can leave my money in the bank.

That L200 is just trying too hard to be something it's not. It's a pick up and a pick up is cool if it's used as one. Tarting it up like that just makes it look chavvie, for want of a better word.

They are big old buses though. Like an aircraft carrier on wheels! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Wales 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Sumatra Black

That really is a mess Censored of a vehicle. It looks all cheap plastic type chrome, could picture it in the US being used by tarts pimps, as it has all the looks of a Pimpmobile. Sorry but that must rate as one of the worst vehicles I've ever seen. The make in general don't hold their value at the best of times, I'm not sure what type of glasses you are looking through, but perhaps book yourself in for some much needed therapy treatment. Whistle Big Cry Rolling with laughter John

Don't worry I'm not buying one as it will probably be banned soon because of it's diesel engine - I'm just saying if I was looking for a practical vehicle for property developing that could also double as a comfortable daily runaround this would of tempted me - I agree the styling isn't great Confused

I am still looking for a totally impractical Series 2 so all is not lost Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
